Thanksgiving!

We celebrated Thanksgiving the Sunday before at my Mom’s house. We missed Brannon, Jen and the boys this year, but we were able to spend time with my Mom, Dave, Josh, his girlfriend Laura, Uncle Jim, Shaila and Scott Pew. The cooking was wonderful, the company was fun, and we all had a great time!

The Wednesday before thanksgiving Scott, Madison, Scotts Mom, and I met up with the rest of Scott’s family in Utah to see Scotts Dad’s side of the family. Madison LOVES going, she gets her own room at aunt Vickie’s house and she get a chance to play with girl cousins.

Thursday was wonderful! Tons of Fun, Tons of People, and a lot more food!

Pumpkin Carving

This is Madison and Dad starting to carve the pumpkins for Halloween. Madison quickly decided she didn’t like the feeling of “cleaning “out the pumpkins. Yuk!

Scott really loved his pumpkin this year.

FREE BABY!

For years, Madison has wanted to have a little sister or little brother. Now that Mommy's pregnant she has changed her mind. At first it was little comments like "am I going to be your favorite?" or "will you still have time for me" I would reassure her of course, then it was " I don't want you to have a baby, it will take up all of your time" I let her know I would always have time for her, and asked her what do you mean? She said " You will have to feed it and hold it all the time" I let her know yes that's true but she could help and we could take one of those "big sister" classes at the hospital that teach you how to be a big sister and how to hold a baby, feed, burp, and change the diapers too. Her response was not what i was expecting, she said "EEww gross!"

Tonight after I helped her with her homework she was in the bathroom with my Mom getting ready for dance. She said to my Mom "Grandma, I don't want my Mom to have a baby" My Mom reminded her I am already growing one in my belly so there is not much we can do about it now. Madison said "she could put a sign next to it that says " FREE BABY"

Snake!

Where we live, we get to see a lot of things most people don’t when they drive up to their homes. We see rabbits, quail, prairie dogs, a bobcat, and wolves. Last week we got a surprise! A snake that had just finished its lunch was outside our garage door when we pulled up! It was so full and tired, Scott had time to run in the house and get the camera.

Madison’s Performance!

Madison joined her first dance company. She absolutely loves it! They had their first performance Wednesday just before the Phoenix Mercury Game. She did an awesome job!

After her performance she was jammin out to the music!

First day of 2nd Grade

Madison starts 2nd grade today!! She is SO excited!! She is thrilled to be taking her lunch. We found a backpack with an attached lunch box with Super Girl on it, Madison loves it! Madison can’t wait to see her friends again. Yesterday we went to meet the teacher, and she was able to see some of her friends from last year and pick out her desk. I was able to sign up to be a parent helper on Fridays and for holiday parties. We both really like her teacher Ms. Short, she is really nice! It’s going to be a good year!

Swimming with Cousins

Monday we went to Scott’s cousin Jamie’s house to go swimming. Madison had a great time playing, and I had a great time visiting! Scott’s Sister Christy and her boys were there, along with Jamie’s sister Becky and her little one. After watching the video you will understand why Jamie and I decided we should do it again sometime very soon, maybe without the kids LOL

4th of July

Haylee, Madison, Michelle, Talan, and Zane at the HS

We went to Katy & Jimmy’s house for a BBQ and swimming on the 4th of July. Cheryl and her family, Katy’s Mom and her Family were there too. The Kids decorated cookies with red white and blue frosting, and made shirts to wear to the fireworks. After that we went to the HS up the street and hiked into the football field with about 500 other people to enjoy the most awesome fireworks show with some live music. The kids (and adults) had a blast! They ran around, played with poppers, and ate candy.
