Labor Day Weekend 2010

Labor Day Weekend!!
We went to Pine Arizona for a family trip out of the heat. We rented a cabin, took nature walks, hung out outside in the fresh air, attended an Art Fair, and enjoyed the water at Fossil Creek.

Madison is loved so much by her two little sisters. They always want her attention.

Madison was talking to Katelyn and Brinlee found a quick way to get Madison to pay attention, lucky for Brinlee Madison caught her before she actually fell. "Great Job Madi!!"

We were all outside hanging out on the front porch enjoying the air and each other.

Madison's excited face, telling me about her walk with Allie.

Brinlee enjoyed watching her sisters and Allie play, but I'm sure she was asking me with those big blue eyes why she wasn't able to run around too. "Soon enough baby, soon enough."

this was Brinlee envying Madison and Katelyn on the porch swing.

I asked the girls to stop swinging so I could take a photo. Even with the Binky in Katelyn's mouth she could say "Whee!!"

Madison is a little fish, I think she was trying to catch one with her toes too??

Another pause in the fun for Mom to snap a picture "Say Cheese!"

We were swimming by a little water rapid (more like rocks too big for the stream). I told Madison to be careful not to get caught in it but if she did, not to fight it (as to avoid drowning). The water would carry her a bit (maybe 6 feet down stream) and hold to a rock where I would come get her, or she could just stand up because the water was shallow. Well... just before we were leaving she was by the current (very tiny) then all of the sudden she was in the current, but holding onto the rock that is the entrance to the rapid with all the power of the water pushing against her, she was freaking out, her hands looked like they were holding on for dear life all the water was streaming down her and splashing over other rocks creating the rapid. She screamed my name in the most terrified voice I've ever heard. I was only an arms distance away. It was so sad, Poor Girl.

Katelyn loves feeding and drinking all by herself, she is very independant.

Madison LOVES all animals. She is a sweet girl. At the art fair Madison made some really big new friends.

Everyone got the chance to walk someone else. Even Brinlee took Daddy for a Nature walk.

It was extreamly nice outside, especially in the evenings, we looked at all the cabins in the area.

Madison and Katelyn spending quality time together doing "Bunnie Ears" and Giggling on the couch after dinner.

Katelyn pretending she didn't make the mess behind her while we were getting ready to go swimming. When Katelyn gets caught doing something, or thinks she got caught she tries to distract you by saying "Hi, Mom. Hi Dad. Hi" with a great big smile. It works most of the time.
